if the kick off is at 10pm local time, there aren't many folk getting on a plane at 2 am after the game

i'd have thought if one night was acceptable, is out first thing on the day of the game not better

bourgas for dinner time, home friday after some breakfast

Before I firm up the details, hopefully around lunchtime, can I explain something.

The plane will be sat on the runway waiting for the return flight. If the plane is sat there on Friday and Saturday this will cost a lot more money.

Think about it, the company's who own the planes can use these to ship holiday makers in and out of locations, perhaps two flights a day, thus making more money. If you wanted Friday and Saturday I can assure you, you will pay a premium and quite frankly most are pecking my head at the cost now.

Be real and look at the whole picture.

no one is having a go at you mate, but they are just saying what they would prefer.

appreciate it must be a pain in the arse.

everyone was expecting this to be a lot easier than it is and think everyones appreciate effort you are putting in.

I think people just wanna get sommat sorted. 6 days since the draw and we are no nearer to finding out whats going on. (Thats not having a go at you, thats to the clubs and uefa and whoever) Theres stuff you need to know before you can give a price.

I agree, you are "top man" for taking the time and effort to try and sort this out.

I understand the reasoning behind leaving straight after the game, as when an aircraft is stationary, it cost's a lot of money.

I would be reasonably happy with spending the Wednesday night and then flying out straight after the match - although I would prefer to spend another night there.

Most importantly though.......................I want to be there! :D/

My preference is for Casino's suggestion.

Out early Thursday - back daytime Friday.

I and most of my mates have reasons for this e.g. young families, minimising time off work etc.

Once again - thanks to Happy for his efforts. Last thing he needs is people going "ME ME ME". 8-[

Agree with Casino & jayjay. Out early Thursday, stay Thursday night and back Friday morning (after breakfast). We have the plane for around 24 hours 'ish', shouldn't be too hard on the pocket. Cheers to Happy for taking the time to sort it.

This looks a good option for all those not already flying to Sofia!

hats off to Happy, he must be getting grief from all corners...

couple of personal points.

would much prefer the in Thurs home friday

we may have another two trips before the end of the year, and holidays are prescious.

The home straight after the game is going to be one hell of a long day, considering what time the match will finish.

you will not get a trip of this duration for much less than ??350...believe me it's been exhausted.

Bob on Bobbers!

I've spent so much time trawling the internet, it's not true.

The short stay is much more expensive than going for a week.

I'm expecting BWFC's trip to fly direct from Manchester to Bourgas: land at 8Pm, police escort directly to ground and straight back after game. All this for about ??399!

Wanderers head for the Black Sea

Last posted: Wednesday 31 August 2005 12:22

WANDERERS' first venture into Europe will definitely take place in the Black Sea city of Burgas, it was confirmed on Wednesday lunchtime.

The www.uefa.com website confirmed our earlier report that the venue for the UEFA Cup first round second leg clash against Lokomotiv Plovdiv had been switched.

The game will now be played at the 18,000 capacity Neftochimik Stadium, home to Naftex Burgas.

Reports we received from Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Tuesday had already suggested that the match was likely to be played in Burgas, the arrival airport for many British tourists who stay at the famous Sunny Beach resort nearby

A spokesman for the www.lokopd.com club website told us on Tuesday: " The match is most likely to be played in Burgas, because we don't have a licensed stadium in Plovdiv.

"There is another option, if Uefa decides to move the matches between Levski Sofia and Auxerre and CSKA Sofia and Bayer Leverkusen, we will be able to play our match in Sofia.

"So two options remain- Sofia and Burgas - but the second one is most likely to be it."

Plovdiv played their second qualifying round match with OFK Beograd in Burgas, and 10,000 fans made the 200-mile, four-hour train journey, from Plovdiv.

Sofia is a 100-mile, two hour trip from Plovdiv.

RIGHT - LETS GO WITH THE CASINO TRIP. 1 night should suffice for this trip. Hopefully we will have somewhere better in the next few rounds.

What times and price then kiddo? We're with you on this one.

Or are you waiting on the club to show their hand first?

Have to say cracking idea this. Its all a bit A team. How do we get there? I know lets just hire a plane! I didn't even know you could do that. I could just about arrange a mini bus to the airport but thats probably beyond me. Does the plane come in team colours? Is it a match day special?
