newquaywhite
Those were my thoughts exactly. I had backed sandiego anyway so it didnt effect me but "safteys" and allthis running the clock down etc makes hcap betting much less attractive a proposition. I don't know about that - I certainly can't remember seeing a quarterback do that before. It didn't effect me me either, but it would have done if the Chargers had come up with the ball on Rivers' last second "Hail Mary'.

Want to look the big shot Englishman in New York Not much to shout about on Betfair at the minute. St Louis are 2-6 for the season and are pretty shit, with only two teams scoring less points than them. The Jets are 5-3 but are pretty average, though they have run up a score on a number of occasions this season despite keeping Favre's arm pretty much under wraps for the most part. There's not much to suggest anything other than a home field win but, at 1.26, the Jets make no appeal. Even in the St Louis +9.5 market, they're an unattractive 1.76. If you have to have a bet, you could wind up looking a clever clogs by taking the 3.9 about the Rams and hoping they can repeat the welcome blip that saw them turn over Dallas and Washington a couple of weeks ago. I'd steer clear and just enjoy the occasion, to be honest.

Traf
After-eventing, Traf? You should know better! What was the handicap? I meant to post it yesterday, but it's allowed, because I lost! handicap was Denver +3.5. Denver won by 4 ie 7.5 on the hcp.

Ouch. They left it late, too. Three touchdowns in the 4th Quarter, including one inside the last minute.
Traf
Ouch. They left it late, too. Three touchdowns in the 4th Quarter, including one inside the last minute. Aye, the blow was cushioned by the fact Denver are my favourite team. Cutler's 4th quarter was excellent: almost like a young John Elway. Site Supporter Spider Posted November 11, 2008 Site Supporter Share Posted November 11, 2008 I didn't have a bet becasue gambling is still treating like prohibition in New York However, the Jets simply trampled all over an absolutely dreadful Rams and the Patriots game on Thursday night is Massive Whatever odds you get I'd go with Jets - Favre is looking good and the Jets defence is very strong As an aside, fans at American football games are just fat wierdos. They thought I was from outer space and one bloke even asked me if I had glassed anyone yet as he assumed I was a hooligan. They love their anthem too - tears in eyes all over the place. Met the cheerleaders too - crikey

Traf
Oakland will not win I never said they would. But, you read the thread: my picks are all on the handicaps and tonight the bookies were giving Oakland 10.5pts over Miami. Miami only won 17-15, so my bet was a winner.
