Lennie
How long have you been trialling it for in total? How many bets? Its the bloke who did the daily cash selections. The trial has been going since the beginning of July with the occasional day with no bets. There were some really good results in the beginnig but the last 3 weeks or so have been really lean. Still showing a small profit though.
Traf
I know who you mean. The reason I asked how long etc is this: My opinion is that 100 bets is a decent sample size, to assess how good a tipster is, before I part with any cash. If you've been following this for approx 2 months, you've already had over 100 selections. 100 selections = ?2000 staked at ?10 e/w per selection. Your current profit is ?45, which is 2.5% return on your investment to date. If you're happy to make 2.5% over 2 months, then continue with them. If you feel it's not worth the hassle (which I personally do, in this case): then call it quits whilst you're ahead and think about something else. The trouble is I like having a bet on the horses but have nowhere near enough knowledge to confidently pick my own horses. But picking the right tipster to follow is difficult. With this in mind, when can we expect Traf's tips to return. its been like a morgue in here thhese last few months.
Traf
With this in mind, when can we expect Traf's tips to return. its been like a morgue in here thhese last few months. It's like this: I stopped gambling on April 30th this year, and haven't as much as looked at any form until this week ie 4 months off, so the chances of me tipping anything based on form is slim until I've caught up on my reading. I still have a load of trainer/course based stats that I can provide pointers from, these have proved to be continually successful for at least the past 6 yrs I've been doing them, but you have to take the rough with the smooth and be prepared to ride out the bad patches. A statistical/analytical approach to betting is never as good as studying form, but it does pay results: time alone will tell, I suppose! I'm currently working on a few things for the winter NH season proper.

A quick update on this for you all: On Aug 31st his original ?1000 bank stood at ?1045 and I advised Lennie to take his small profit and run. Hopefully he took the advice, as yesterday the bank stood at a mere ?293!
Traf
Lennie, are you still there mate? The bank's down to ?190 now! He's sinking rapidly.
