Book of Eli - Denzel Washington - took two attempts to watch it all the way through - a bit of a duff Mad Max type film. Watchable. 4/10

Green Zone - Matt Damon - enjoyed it, always like films based out in Middle East, etc. 7/10

Planet 51 - was enjoying it til I nodded off, kids liked it - must be good. 6/10

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - see above - 6/10

Good Will Hunting - Matt Damon/Robin Williams - look, there was fook all else on this Saturday just gone, never seen it before - quite enjoyed - the scene were Robin Williams was going on about his late wife farting in bed had me in tears - half decent. Oh, and Minnie Driver looked far better than I can ever remember. 7/10

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - its Swedish so no famous actors/actresses - great thriller - didn't bother me that it was in subtitles great revenge scene on the pervy Probation Officer- looking forward to the 2nd in the trilogy in the next week or so - well worth the watch and highly recommended. 9/10

That's me, Jonathan Woss, over and out.

Inception - 3/5 - really don't see what the big deal was, seems no one wants to say it's not that good, but it's not, enjoyable enough, but average story and predictable ending, def not 5 stars

Doubt - 4/5 - very good this, great acting and dialogue

District 9 - 3.5/5 - starts off a decent watch but turns into run of the mill alien flick by the end

The International - 3.5/5 - watchable espionage doings based on big business banks funding terrorism and war

Was a film on Horror channel last night called the one eyed monster, about a dis-membered cock going round killing people.

"Ten people travel into the mountains of North Carolina to shoot a porn movie. During a scene break early in filming Ron Jeremy gets hit by a shooting star and in the following scene his penis, now possessed by a sex-hungry alien, detaches itself, leaving Ron for dead. The remaining cast and crew theorize about the murdering penis' vulnerability after climax, 'when it is limp, and at its weakest'. They hatch a plan to lure the penis into a neuro-tactile simulator and then circumcise it with an ax during its 'refractory period'"

How's that then considering the hype preceded the films general release by at least a year?

New Karate Kid - better than the originals[that I like] 9/10 brilliant

Sorcerers Apprentice - it's very entertaining, but I felt it could have lasted a little longer and shown more training to be an apprentice and more magic. 7.5/10

Toy Story 3

Cats and Dogs 2 - quality! really funny

Shrek 4

Inception - what a head fc?k that is, he was in a dream then not, then in a dream in a dream then not. It was really confusing.

Transformers 2 - 3rd time I've watched - 10/10, once at cinema, 2 on blu ray

Clash of the titans - 2nd time watched great film - 8.5/10

You did well and truly miss the point of that film then, didn't you.

As for the others, I refuse to comment.

Except The Karate Kid, which was about an hour longer than it should have been and was about a kid practising KUNG FU FFS! At least 10 minutes of the film are of Jackie Chan saying take it off, put it on again. Very, very, VERY, shit.

I was thinking why is he telling him to keep putting his jacket on the floor, on off etc, but when I realised it was actaully training him techniques in Kung Fu, I thought it was great. I thought it was teaching him to respect his mother because he always left his jacket on the floor, which it did, but didn't think it was teaching him Kung Fu also, The final kick that made Dre win the comp was quality, great music to go with it also just like when The old Karate Kick did the crane kick.

:D I was so confused, I couldn't get into it, you know when people ask you questions during a film, like what is that what happened there, I wanted to ask those but didn't want the people in the cinema to shhhush me

Just got round to watching Body of Lies on Blu Ray, good cast with DiCaprio, Crowe, but its just missing that edge to make it a belter 7/10

I watched The Illusionist again the other day too, its been out for ages, but if you aint seen it, its worth a watch. Ed Norton in it.

Diddles, that's all well and good, you are correct in your assumption about Chan's "teaching". But why is the film not called 'Kung Fu Kid'? Really pissed me off that did. The original is far better and makes a lot more sense.

Why the fuck did they go to China? Did the film makers just decide to omit that side of the plot for a reason? There was plenty of scope in the first hour of the film which had absolutely no pace.

That finishing move at the end of the film is impossible due to the laws of physics.

Watched Crazy Heart other night - its really not that good and way too short.

I know he got an Oscar, but Jeff Bridges just plays a more serious 'The Dude'.

That Maggie Gyellnehall (or however you spell it) is a cracker though.

She's a funny one, can't make my mind up about her
