There's a good documentary about the Sheffield Scene of the late 70s/early 80s called Made In Sheffield. It stars The Human League, Heaven 17 and ABC as well as lesser known bands such as Carbaret Voltaire and I'm So Hollow. There were a couple of compilation LPs from the 80s with some of the best tracks from that period on called Bouquet Of Steel and Hicks From The Sticks.
