Duck Egg
Nice blast from the past that. I'd forgotten how bad the pitch got that year, that John O'Kane ever scored for us or Sam was ever slim! I hadn't forgotten what a dirty cynical bunch of twats Sheff U were under Warnock though.

O'Kane scored against Yeovil in the cup as well if memory serves me right? They didn't half give us a fright that day.

I hope if he did score in that one too, he looked a lot more happier about it!

He was, been impressed with what I've seen of him. Don't think we've truely had a really decent keeper since Jaaskelainen though Edited April 8, 2021 by DavidLeesMullet

nantwichwhite
Loads of scrapping in the stones at halftime. Had tickets but as stated no segregation their lads were not happy that night.

My lad was born Saturday morning we had Everton away and I had a ticket, couple of hours after lad was born my mates turned up at the hospital, reluctantly had to say no but it was close call. We’d took liberties in the Boleyn got there about 4pm and was a little shenanigans just before kick off with a few glasses getting smashed, that didn’t help. nantwichwhite
Walked out of the tube down the chicken run us was okay. Police let us in at any turnstile we then had to walk the equivalent of underneath the burn den paddock past all the bars. Fuck me that was a long two minutes

Because we could, and because no one else was around, we went in West Hams main boozer for our first beer. Remember they put all bolton fans in the top tier of the stand. No segregation but no bother at all. I remember their stand being as rickerty as the Manny Rd stand.
