Welsh Cunts

It is Abertawe, but Abertawe is an invented name for Swansea as it never had a Welsh name. When they started putting dual language signs up, they made up a name for Swansea, from 'Aber' meaning river estuary and 'Tawe', the river on whose estuary Swansea lies.

The gf says where she grew up, it's refered to as Abertawe in English and Welsh, not an invented name. But in Welsh it's Club Peldruid Abertawe or something incomprehensible, meaning Football Club Swansea. FACTS.

She probably didn't have to go to Welsh indoctrination lessons on moving there, where that sort of stuff is taught. FACT WITH KNOBS ON

Wicki says the name Aber Tawy first appeared in Welsh language poetry at the beginning of the 13th Century.

It also says 'the earliest known form of the modern name is Sweynesse, which was used in the first charter granted sometime between 1158?1184 by William de Newburgh, 3rd Earl of Warwick. The charter gave Swansea the status of a borough. A second charter was granted in 1215 by King John. In this charter, the name appears as Sweyneshe. The town seal which is believed to date from this period names the town as Sweyse.'

Make of that what you will.

She didn't as she grew up in a Welsh speaking community as a child, her mother probably can't speak a word 30 years later.
