The team needs every bit of help it can get, i would ask mcginlay to come over and get him on the pitch before the game to stir the crowd. i think we want lifting as much as the players do.

Good idea in principle.

Might get the crowd going, but don't think it would work with the players in this squad.

Not only is this a great opportunity to get our first home win on the board but also to make some ground on the teams above and around us:-

Arsenal v WBA

Blackburn v Chelsea

QPR v Man City

Liverpool v Swansea

Hopefully the teams you'd expect will win the games above and make it a huge weekend for us.

That's based on Coyle having a plan to counter different teams in different situations which I don't think we have seen to much evidence of yet.

It will be interesting to see the team news as this selection stands out like a sore thumb

Aye....It looks like a good time to take on Stoke with them already having injuries with another game to go, & playing their third game in a week, but we'll probably see Coyle's usual tactical masterstroke of selecting all the pansys to play against the most physical side in the league.

Kevin Davies should start whatever, but especially if Upson is playing it would be criminal not to let SKD give him his traditional pasting.

During Monday's match at Stoke, Sky showed 2-3 watching managers in the stand. I didn't see OC measuring up Sunday's opposition.

Maybe one of his anonymous staff was there making a report.

A fair point. I'm sure he doesn't actually change tactics or players according to who they're playing.

Naive's the word I keep using.

what a fucking pointless statement. i remember when we were really shit blah blah fucking blah. we are not in the dark days of division 4. we are in 2011 and doing shite in the premiership. times change and so does people expectations. off your theory people under 30 cannot have an opinion about the game. although admittedly anewman is an old cunt :D
