bolton4lyf
Coyle fears he may of broke his foot again ..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16282674.stm? Great Talent, such a shame that he's had such injury problems at such a young age. We look a lot stronger with him at left back and he even makes petrov look better. Big problem with him out for a while and cahill going??
Site Supporter HomerJay Posted December 21, 2011 Site Supporter Share Posted December 21, 2011 big problem? hes barely played anyway. and im not convince about the "great talent" part either. petrov looked just as good with robbo behind him yesterday. Athywhite_Mike
Hang on, didn't a number of Bolton fans think he was utter dog shit? Suddenly he's the greatest left back in the world?? IMO he's still got a lot to prove tbh
kent_white
You could have put Roberto Carlos in at left back for the first half of this season and he would have looked bad, such were the huge, empty, left sided midfielder spaces he'd have had in front of him. Robbo's not the greatest left back, but he's solid enough for me when he's got the bit of support and cover a left back should be able to count on. Shame if Alonso is out after looking much more promising last night, but it's the shape and the work ethic that have been the problem more than Paul Robinsons limitations as a footballer up to now. Hopefully, we went some way to sorting that out last night.
fruitbat69
Big shame this. Looked promising last night and with a run of games could have cemented the left back spot however Robbo has no competition now. My stress levels did go up when Robbo came on.We got away with that rash challenge in the box.
bolton4lyf
Hang on, didn't a number of Bolton fans think he was utter dog shit? Anyone to come through the academy set up at Real Madrid can't be utter dog shit. He does have the talent, just not had the chance luck with injuries. onlyoneawalker
For fucks Sake!!!! He's only had one or two decent performances but looked really good last night i thought defensively he did really well a couple of times when he was isolated but it's just unsettling again - curse of the full back strikes again enter ricketts
Moderators Zico Posted December 21, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2011 as Tweeted by Alonso just now: "On my way to the hospital for a scan on my foot cos the specialist couldnt see a fracture on the xray. Keep your fingers crossed!"
Moderators Carlos Posted December 21, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2011 Anyone to come through the academy set up at Real Madrid can't be utter dog shit. He does have the talent, just not had the chance luck with injuries. Why not? Nicky Hunt came through United, so did Paul Wheatcroft, David Brown etc. plus hundreds of other kids that never made it. Real will produce dozens of people each year who will never make it in professional football. The Real connection is a total red herring. Guest Blixa
Interesting that Ricketts played left back for the stiffs for 90 minutes yesterday. You can see where that's going.

The Wanderer
I though Alonso played his best game in a wanderers shirt last night, we looked alot worse off down the left side when Robbo came on. A good run in the side and i think he will improve, hope its not a brake!

Bobcat
robbo is gash... he's been raped more or less every game he's played this year... and his Sunday league tackle could of cost us...9 out 10 ref would of given that

jazza
What's happened to Alonsos death by dangerous and pissed up driving charges in Spain?
RUREADY2ROLL
big problem? hes barely played anyway. and im not convince about the "great talent" part either. petrov looked just as good with robbo behind him yesterday. We were exposed at the back with Robbo on; at times Robbo was not to be seen and seems to like holding Cahill or Zak Knight's hands because he drifts into the middle to much Fair play to Alonso for a great game up to his injury and Petrov was a lot better last night
Site Supporter HomerJay Posted December 21, 2011 Site Supporter Share Posted December 21, 2011 He had one good day driving without being pissed and killing anyone, so his slate was wiped clean
Gorillas Finger
Robbo is more intrested in smashing the oppositions right winger than playing football, hate to admit it but that was a penalty when he dived in.

Danny G
I think he could be doing a "bit of bird" soon. I dont think he will, he was pissed but him being pissed was apparently not the cause of the crash. I am sure he will get off
