Traf
Get foward and deliver a good ball - yes Deliver and strike a good set peice - yes Defend 1v1 - No Defend in a defensive line - No Cover to protect inside centre half - No Nice fella - Yes Strange signing - Yes Surprised - No Knowing what I know about Gumbo knowing what he knows tells me this is probably spot on. Plus my son's Dingle mates say pretty much the same.
Sweep
Plus my son's Dingle mates say pretty much the same. You allow your boy to socialise with Dingles? I hope that you don't allow them into Traf Towers
Moderators Zico Posted January 8, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2012 At least Cohen would also kick folk when he was running around. And score goals
Traf
You allow your boy to socialise with Dingles? I hope that you don't allow them into Traf Towers No, but I do allow them to pick up litter and fallen fruit from the grounds and occasionally shelter in one of the outbuildings when the weather turns particularly bad. I'm all heart you see.

passmosster
That's Steinsson's days numbered yet again. Can't believe that Coyle would change a defence which looked something like against Liverpool. That said, having watched Boyata preferred over Steinsson at RB, anything is possible. Even putting a crap defender like Mears in the team.

SnoopJohnnyJohn
oh joy hopefully steinsson will have sommit to say about that http://www.thebolton...e_down_and_die/ That's got to be one of the most refreshing player quotes I've read in recent times. A player who genuinely wants to do well and do well for the club. Good on you, Mr. Steinsson.
Mona
Excuse me, but when has there ever been any doubt in Steinsson's commitment to this club He'd be first on the team sheet, if OC had a brain
cheekybwfc
I like steinsson but fear his days are numbered! With mears, Riley, ricketts.
Juan.Kerr
T'other week our right back options in the same game were: Wheater (sent off) NRC, then finally a proper right back, Steinsson. For him to get back in as first choice and score shows his commitment, as if it were in doubt. He should keep his place even when the untried at this level Mears is fit. SalfordOriginal
Given Gumbo's & Traf's assessment in the posts above, he may give us a different option on the right wing if Coyle wants to go with someone with pace who can deliver a good ball. Presumely he can tackle now and again, albeit may not be the best defensively
tylswhite
Excuse me, but when has there ever been any doubt in Steinsson's commitment to this club He'd be first on the team sheet, if OC had a brain Im committed to the club too, can i get a place? Paul Robinson is committed but i wouldnt want him near the team ever again. Committment alone isnt enough to be first on the team sheet. magic legs
Steinsson has played well the last few games but remember the way he just let Sturridge go for Chelsea's first and then looked to blame someone else?
Pottsy
As a right back Steinsson makes a good central defender, because thats where he spends most of his time.
Big E
Steinsson has played well the last few games but remember the way he just let Sturridge go for Chelsea's first and then looked to blame someone else? so he should be let go because of that? i think he is one of the better fullbacks at the club and we need players like him as most of the team has show little heart this year

I'm just pointing out that Steinsson is hardly without error this season and Mears may be as good or even better given a run of games. If Steinnson keeps playing as he has done in the last few games then he keeps his place and earns a new deal for me. If however he reverts to the sort of mistakes he made v Chelsea then maybe Mears deserves a chance.
magic legs
PS If Mears can cross and take people on then maybe play him instead of Eagles?!

Do you really think a bad game against Chelsea signifies a lack of heart, ability, or anything else? I'm sure you'll come back with the fact you aren't just talking about a chelsea game but, up to now, it's the only bad game you're quoting.
