That was 'donkey' round our way - times must have been more innocent then :)

I still, to this day, have no idea of how to correctly play 'sixty'...

Everyone must have done it, when your a kid - in your mind's eye when you were playing, have a sort of movie reel of a player, thinking you were the living embodiement of them at that moment...

Some lads would even vocalize their internal commentary "Oh, what a beautiful goal by...."

I used to think I was Michel Platini - he could do no wrong in my eyes, how times change - fat, officious, corrupt frog twat.

Who were you? (what am I on about? I'll bet half on here who play 5-side etc. still do it :)).

"wall-ey " kicking a ball against the wall similar to squash, one touch or two touches agreed prior to start, arguing like f?ck that putting your foot on it to stop it rolling down garstang avenue counted as a touch or not and "no skinners" or "bannanas" allowed, this was when the ball ended up close to the wall so you could kick it sideways still touching the wall but sending it miles away, usually to the bottom of the aforementioned garstang avenue.

then argue who's going to "fag" it.

played that for hours on end, look at garstang avenue now and can't imagine used to play football on there, can't even cross it sometimes now.

indeed again, used to be a tree lined boulevard when i was a kid.

probably had it's share of not rights then too to be fair, but it is a state now compared to how it used to be, even when i was early 20's it wasn't as bad as it is now., although i did see some interesting sites walking home from the feathers in them days, but nowt like as if i'd make the same trip today and definitely no kids playing football!
