Lighting maps going bonkers round here at the moment. Spectacular stuff- brace yourself Gonzo it is heading up your way.

Just arrived pal!

me and the youngest sat in the window watching it roll in over Stanah.

Massive blast of lightening and big clap above. Knocked the hub thing on to orange for a bit

Haha. I was trying to put my initial post on here, when the lightning buggered up my WiFi for a while!

Good old mobile data did the trick though.

More to come over night and tomorrow potentially too.

Gardens need it though. Unusually dry for April.

I was going to ask, Micky, do you not watch weather forecasts?

It was absolutely bob on for yesterday.

I do watch them and the Meteorological Office reckoned 70-80% chance of rain. As you'll know, granular fertilizer isn't very forgiving  if the 20% chance of it not raining comes in. As it happened it was belt and braces. The rain was very welcome and the watering was a bit of insurance.

Besides, in reality, it's great fun telling the bowlers that they're welcome to bowl but beware of the hose lines and sprinklers.

It certainly can be a twat that stuff. You could try making your own liquid fertilizer from fermented nettles- loads of them about and doesn't scorch.

Though it stinks to high heaven.

I've got 5 gallons of liquid fertilizer but the pump on the spreader needs attention.
