You don't have to be the world's greatest player, just keen. Age also unimportant.
Most away matches in around Bolton/Leigh/Chorley, but unfortunately home games are at Haydock. I drive to every game though so am able to give anyone a lift.
I also have spare bats, pads, etc so you'd only need your own whites.
If interested just drop me a PM.

Seriously though, as I said, ability not hugely important. The 1st XI regularly rape us (as they have done for tomorrow's game) so as long as you can throw a ball more than 10 yards and know which way round to hold a bat ... but most importantly keen then you're welcome.
Anyone who actually can bat or bowl would be seen as an unexpected bonus

Even got an upstairs function room with a balcony. Often, on matchdays, there is a function on where all the lasses will be stood out on it in their frocks. If you stand in the right position underneath the balcony you can read their lips.

Cheeky cunt
It's a proper league job, every weekend so causes a problem during footie season a bit.
Nets are Tuesday nights at Bolton School, and whilst obviously I'd recommend anyone to go to them, it's not a necessity. Nor is playing every week.
If you, or anyone is genuinely interested, even if you'd only be interested in the odd game here and there then just let me know.

used to sit next to me and my folks in the late 70s
thought he looked a bit old for cricket even then
wouldn't be shocked if he's still topping the bowling averages

We've a couple of, erm, 'mature' gents play for us. One of 'em can barely run. We just stick him in at slip.

As its only 2nd XI cricket its a lot more relaxed. Don't get me wrong, we want to win and I'm as competitive as anyone, but winning isn't the be all and end all.
If anyone is umming or ahhing then maybe pop along and judge the standard for yourselves. We're at home (Haydock) tomorrow so a bit of a trek, but i'll check the fixtures and post where we'll be in the coming weeks.

I'll be calling on his centuries of experience tomorrow as I skipper for the first time. He's only 80 shy of 10,000 runs. Legend.

He's hardly playing these days. Think he's doing some sort of UFC shit with most of his spare time.
He's a good lad Wiggy. He'd run through a brick wall for his teammates. I wish half of the kids we have had a fraction of his enthusiasm.
