tomski
Just read on sky they are facing a winding up order due to rent owed on their new ground. They must be in real Shit if they've already flogged it, surely its not that old. It doesn't seem long ago they constantly defied the odds staying in the top flight year after year and being a bit envious of them. Times change! iggy
Being abit young to remember the ins and outs but never remember why they moved from highfield road. I remember them spending a fortune redeveloping it in the early 90s. Remember sitting in the home end for 2-2 I think it was

leigh white
Remember the time we played them in the cup in 87 and another huge following of our finest turning out, the Mercer's Arms near the ground was rammed with Bolton, glad they went on to win the cup that year. Higher matchday income from corporate facilities AMD non matchday events. If you remember the extent of corporate boxes at highfield was a rickety stack of portacabins in the corner. That and they were bidding to build the new national stadium. I quite liked highfield and the potato wedges in the boxes were belting. Krimzon
Apparently the local council owes 50% of the Ricoh and its that rent that the chairman has no intention of paying. Richard Keys is not a happy man about it.
Moderators Casino Posted December 6, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 6, 2012 i thought the council owned the whole thing its what the man in the pub/my taxi driver told me and when have they ever been wrong not sure if he had a season ticket at huddersfield though
