Just read on sky they are facing a winding up order due to rent owed on their new ground. They must be in real Shit if they've already flogged it, surely its not that old. It doesn't seem long ago they constantly defied the odds staying in the top flight year after year and being a bit envious of them. Times change!

Being abit young to remember the ins and outs but never remember why they moved from highfield road. I remember them spending a fortune redeveloping it in the early 90s.

Remember sitting in the home end for 2-2 I think it was 97

They moved for the same reason many clubs moved.

Higher matchday income from corporate facilities AMD non matchday events.

If you remember the extent of corporate boxes at highfield was a rickety stack of portacabins in the corner.

That and they were bidding to build the new national stadium.

I quite liked highfield and the potato wedges in the boxes were belting.

but they didn't own the stadium, so how does higher non matchday income play a part?they've got a cracking casino, though

i thought the council owned the whole thing

its what the man in the pub/my taxi driver told me

and when have they ever been wrong

not sure if he had a season ticket at huddersfield though

Ha very valid point, you/he may well be right, I just caught a bit of Richard Keys going on about it on Talksport he was telling people not to go to the games to get rid of the board and thought he mentioned the 50% and the board not paying it because they are being charged to much even tho the rent figure hasnt changed for 3 years or some such.
