It's definitely one step forward, one step back at the moment.

Win one day, lose the next.

A bit of a struggle today:

Day 27 : 2/7 : -2.42pts

Overall : 60/223 ( 26.91%) : +20.21pts

I'll probably stop posting these soon. I think I'm talking to myself and I think I've proved to myself what I thought would be the case.

I've been following this.

... but I've never put a bet on a race that wasn't the Grand National.

Now, if I'd put £1 on every horse in every race, how much would I be up?

(and what does BOG mean?)

OK, when you say "if I'd put £1 on every horse in every race, how much would I be up?" I assume you mean if you'd backed all the selections I've posted on this thread.

If that's the case and

If you'd got the prices I've taken/posted (lots of ifs in betting :D )

You'd have spent £223 on bets, but you'd have collected £243.21, before today's racing.

A small profit of £20.21, but that's just over 9% and I'm hoping to do better.

However, getting the right prices is the key and this is where BOG comes into play.

BOG = Best Odds Guaranteed

If I back a horse at 5/1 BOG and it wins at 3/1, I get paid at 5/1.

However if it wins at 7/1, I get paid at 7/1.

In other words, BOG price is the lowest you'll receive unless, of course, it loses!

99% of my betting is done either on the exchanges (Betfair/Betdaq etc) or via BOG Bookies (Bet365, Boylesports, Betfred, BetVictor, PaddyPower, StanJames, Ladbrokes, Coral or William Hill)

Hope that's a little clearer, otherwise speak to your older/uglier brother.
