whiteboy
Just find it bizarre listening to them talking about Smith/Abrahams as if it's the fight of the century, when it's not even the fight of the weekend, just because it's not being covered by them. They are easily the best sports channel in this country, but they should recognise the best events in their news coverage. Did you watch Ringside last night? Traf
sky sports news has long been 'news about events on sky' its nowt new Well, yes, but actually lots of it should now be called "shit we nicked off twitter and facebook" news

Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted February 20, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted February 20, 2015 Did you watch Ringside last night? yes, best programme on Sky Sports, still gave the impression the Murray Golovkin fight was a lesser fight though. i do like Sky Sports, but as Casino points out, their news is usually focussed on their own events. gonzo
Rumours are that Pacquiao has signed his side of the deal to get 40% of the $250m purse. Waiting on Mayweather still. May 2nd in Las Vegas?

Underpants
No matter how much hype goes into promoting this I wont be paying to watch it. This fight should have happened years ago. My interest has waned. And the boxing world has moved on. I would pay if Khan was fighting one if them though.
Site Supporter Spider Posted February 21, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted February 21, 2015 I expect this to be at least £30 on box office I also expect it to be wholeheartedly shit COMPARED to what it would have been 5 years ago. Iamin, but with my bottom lip out a fair way.
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted February 21, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted February 21, 2015 There will always be the debate of who would win in their prime. They are both past their best by at least 3 years. This could have been huge for boxing fans but it's now just huge for rich people who want to be in the place to be seen. I suspect 'money' Mayweather will be pleased with the outcome. Oh, and he will win on points too

Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted February 22, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted February 22, 2015 Enjoyed that, always thought Murray would be game, but out classed by a country mile. Golovkin, carries on like this for another 3 years will beat anyone, does not look beatable , frustrated by the lack of attention he's given by Sky news . Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted February 22, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted February 22, 2015 GGG is a beast, that body shot at the end of the 4th came from nowhere and didn't seem that venomous but it hurt Murray. I like Murray, always gives it a go, not scared to have a go at anyone but easily beaten in this. Good to see Alex Matvienko working the corner too, good lad is Alex - watched plenty of his fights

Youri McAnespie
Really enjoyed that fight, Martin Murray showed loads of heart and must be harder than a coffin nail to get up from those bodyshots and take it from there all the way into the eleventh round. It was always going to be a tough ask fighting on the backfoot against the f*cking Terminator - he barely took a step back all night (Golovkin), and, like Anewman wrote, he was unmarked and barely had a bead of sweat on him at the end, and Murray landed some good shots now and then that barely ruffled him. Deserved to go the distance, but the ref was right to wave it off when he did, I think he was flagging at that point and could've been hurt, but he can take a lot of pride in that performance, he's a class act this Golovkin. They had their camp down in South Africa, Johannesburg* to be exact (28c there today), at least someone showed the benefits of warm-weather training yesterday... * http://www.sthelensstar.co.uk/sport/11724286.Martin_Murray_makes_family_sacrifice_to_set_up_training_camp_in_South_Africa/ Edited February 22, 2015 by Youri McAnespie
