Same with NKO and LKO. Bradshaw have been drawn at home throughout but, whilst it probably makes a few quid on the bar,  it also piles pressure on ground staff to keep preparing wickets.

Standard of umpiring is very poor at the moment. A few seem to give LBW on loudness of appeal rather than where ball pitched and player position. Others seem to give one LBW every third appeal. Another thing; if all eleven players go up to appeal an LBW, it's nothing but cheating. How can a player stood on the boundary at square leg appeal an LBW other than he heard the ball hit the pad. Umpires should be warning teams for over-appealing.
The Laws state that no player can be given out without the fielding side appealing. This shouldn't mean appeal everything.

Bradshaw 2s bowled over 50 wides on Saturday. Crikey.

71 extras in total. Most of the wides went for 4. Problem is, Bradshaw 2s is very much an introduction to senior cricket at Bradshaw. They very much believe that the older juniors ought to be given a chance.

As an aside, they also fell foul of a double-jeopardy when, due to the number of extended overs because of the bowling, they were docked overs from their innings. So they lose points for the bowling then lose the chance to recoup the points when batting.

For the record, I reckon that a normal number of extras; say around 20, and it really would have been game on.

Do Bradshaw not have a third team? No leg side wide rule at that level so helps the younger lads who are bowling.

Yeah   3rds is 9 juniors and 2 seniors.

Problem with 2s is exams at moment , 3 seniors and then u17s

Couldn’t agree more. Played at Kearsley on Saturday, we had at least 3, if not 4, really bad LBW decisions go against us.

Not only the standard, but the number of umpires seem to be reducing every year at an alarming rate

Having a tail Luis Reece couldn’t trust was Westhoughtons only problem on Saturday. Nowt to do with bad umpires.

Some daft ways of getting out from a couple of our lads, so I’m not blaming any umpires, it was just a comment about the inconsistency of them. Was a good competitive game. Contentious decisions will balance themselves out over the season I’m sure 👍🏻
