Youri McAnespie
I saw the programme where he pegged it... It was eerie, even as a nipper you could tell he'd died there and then, on the spot.

Youri McAnespie
This is the statue of him in his hometown of Caerphilly... Seems like the Fred Dibnah and Ted Bates aren't the only crap statues knocking about.

Barnstoneworth White
I also saw him at Blightys in the 80's. He was fantastic. Iirc for the first 15 minutes he didn't appear on stage and was mic'd up in his dressing room. It was also the night that I first heard the word 'cabbage' used as a substitute for a front bottom. The supporting turn were 2 lady trumpeters. Upon the compere introducing them to the Farnworth masses the cry went up from the audience, 'show us yer cabbage,' then 'show us yer monkey,' which I had heard before
gonzo
Alyways good to see an actor break free from being typecast after playing the same part for donkeys years. Not many can pull it off.
Youri McAnespie
He was in some mini-series about the rise and fall of Rome a few years back, i think it was called 'Rome' Anyhow he played the Emperor Constantine iirc, who'd, coincidentally, been brought up in Broughton. Salford Trotter
I heard he once tipped a cab driver by pushing what the driver thought was a few quid into his jacket top pocket saying "have a drink on me".....it turned out to be a teabag

mannyroad58
I loved TC and the night he died i was laughing my head off thinking it was a joke especially when the arm came out from behind the curtain. I've been excited all week waiting for that programme and it didn't let me down Q - What do you call a fish without an eye? A - A fsh Briiliant, i even used that on the kids last night and they looked at me as if i was nuts as i pissed my sides laughing at my own joke
Andydee
Was a bit apprehensive about watching it as I didn't want to spoil the memories but it was brilliant and David Threlfall was superb. Comedy genius with a unique style.
