exiledwhite2
Low carb is the best way to burn a bit of fat / lose a few pounds for a bloke Instead of focusing on quanitity of food, focus on quality Plenty of meat, eggs, veg ... absolute minimum of bread, rice, pasta, pizza, cereals and sugary stuff You might not even lose a lot of weight but you'll burn off fat and turn it into muscle (i.e. you'll look slimmer but weigh the same) If you graft for a living, you won't even have to do much exercise

bgoefc
Juice plus is ok if you can't be bothered doing the real thing. I prefer juicing proper green veg. This bloke knows his stuff.http://www.juicemaster.com/ Daughter has lost 9lb in the last 3 months on Juice plus and is on course for a sub 1 hr 40 min in the Great North Run half marathon which will be 20 mins faster than last year. Leyther_Matt
I've lost 13 pounds in 4 weeks just doing 35 minutes on the exercise bike 3-4 times a week and keeping an eye on calorie intake with MyFitnessPal. Fuck knows how I've managed it considering I've had a few days on the piss in the meantime, meals out etc.

My Garmin running watch also uploads my calories burnt automatically to the site.

Must admit I'm getting a bit obsessive with it, but as long as it keeps doing the job then I'm happy to go along with it.

Restoring your level of leptin, a hormone that if low can stall your metabolism. Oh and juice plus is a con. Spend money eating wisely instead. fatty
Anyone tried the fasting one ? Eat normally for 5 days (not over indulging) then 500 calories a day for the other 2. Don't had to be consecutive days.
Youri McAnespie
A few fellas in Belfast once tried one along those lines... Edited August 1, 2014 by Youri McAnespie

Nah, know people who have For me you want to get into habits you'll stick with, rather than difficult diets you'll lose a few pounds on then give up Easiest one IMO is just cut out carbs, surprising how much meat and veg you can eat and still not consume many calories - no hunger required
bgoefc
Oh and juice plus is a con. Spend money eating wisely instead. Yes and no. I agree its expensive and as you say eating and drinking the right foods in the correct quantity with some exercise should always be the first choice. However, over the last 12 months I just cannot ignore the number of people I know who have lost weight and become healthier using it.There are some serious runners i know and exercise heads down at my gym who swear by it I know that there has been conflicting peer reviewed research but in the occupation that I am currently studying for, supplements in this form are widely used in hospital wards every day for patients who simply cannot eat solid food. Some people need to believe that "something special" is the key to their weight loss. In the game I am going into it would be wrong to dismiss something that works for an individual. gonzo
Fad bollocks IMO. Don't eat shit food. Don't eat carbs if your not going to burn them off. Fuck the ale off. And excercise to hearts content. Pretty fucking simple really.
Youri McAnespie
Spending excessive amounts of money to lose excessive amounts of weight. What is that saying that hipster do-gooders are so fond of, ''First World Problems..."? Knock the bread on the head, that's my advice to anyone, cut out the Lancashire Chappati with every meal (Warbys) or any other bread products. Best way to cut it out (bread) is to not buy it at all, if you have to boil rice or pasta or steam potatoes etc. to get your carb fix rather than just reach for the bread crock, there's an instant disincentive to satiate your carb cravings. That's what they are sometimes, rather than hunger, it's craving for the instant hit you get off carbs - and not unlike giving up booze, tobacco or caffeine, the first few weeks bad carb (well, mainly bread) free are the worst for missing it, after that period you don't really think about bread and sandwiches etc. as a meal accompaniment or quick snack fix anymore... Youri McAnespie
Nah, it's P*ki Christmas* atm, I dunno what the script is with food, but there's loads of sweets and chocolate on offer at arch-panderers Asda's Burnden and Astley Bridge branches. * That isn't racist, I've checked. Youri McAnespie
I've been mis-advised, it is actually a racist term... ...Abdul’s office even sent him a card for the Muslim festival of Eid containing the message, “Happy p*ki Christmas”. http://socialistworker.co.uk/art/28763/Royal+Mail+to+pay+out+in+Blackburn+racism+case Apologies for where the link terminates, I assure you I found it via Google, I wasn't just idly reading and catching up on Comintern gossip.
