Juan.Kerr
Which language is the easiest to learn? I would have thought German for us English speaking lot however Spanish seems far simpler. Spanish is your fellow. Germans have twelve words for 'the' for a start. Try BBC Languages - Spanish. It's a not new course but relevant. Edited August 29, 2014 by Juan.Kerr

MalcolmW
In 1981 we undertook an exercise to postcode a million customer addresses. No fancy software then available - it was a manual job for junior clerks. The question was what conversion rate should they be able to achieve over a 2-hour stint (obviously some areas were easier than others, because addresses for a branch's customers could all be in one postcode booklet, or could involve up to 6 or even more booklets). I had taken the Bangor address list (mainly Welsh) home over the New Year, so my boss decided that the average junior clerk working on a typical list should be able to code at half the rate I had achieved while drunk on New Years' Day between 2am and 4am. It was surprisingly accurate.
SatanGreavsie
Mandarin would be the logical one business wise, failing that probably Spanish I reckon. See I don't get this, even though it's often said. Surely any Chinese business geezer aiming to make global money will learn English. So why keep a dog and bark yourself? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/aug/19/jon-huntsman/jon-huntsman-says-more-english-speakers-china-unit/ Thing is we have to get rid of imperialist guilt. Yes, it sounds smug to say English is the world's language, but it just fucking is. We got lucky. But fuck it - as someone else on here way back said: if you already own a supercar, why worry about cobbling together the cost of buying a Peugeot. As for Welsh - I can't produce enough phlegm. wovlad
Lived in Paris for a couple of years but found it difficult to learn french. Tended to have conversations were I'd talk in French and they'd reply in English. So I can say what I need to say but listening to it I'm poor. So the question "Quelle grandeur sont vos seins" could be replied to by 34DD.
