Bolton Council Are Cunts Part Xxvi

Whenever I see Morris's mug gurning from one of the many and frequent council publications/literature, or in the Bolton News, I always think he's making this town look rather amateurish...

The councillor from Manchester who was head of gmpte user to make Clifford look like a svelte stylish go getter. He was a fat lad with horrible taste in ties that were always to be worn crooked with food stains on em. Even on photo ops.

As much as it pains me to say it, and it probably won't be within our lifetime, Bolton will probably, eventually, become regarded as a suburb of Manchester proper.

Like Horwich is regarded as part of Bolton now.

As a somewhat related aside, I was pressganged into being a buswanker to The Trafford Centre just before Christmas last year, talk about going around the houses, it took about an hour and a half, I could've walked it quicker...Anyhow, I was struck by how much formerly shithole areas had changed, some even looked, daresay, thriving (although I realise Christmas might have been adding to this), perhaps the wealth from Manchester will eventually percolate into Bolton - like it seems to have done in these other areas, and that can't be a bad thing - as long as we still retain our independent identity as Boltonians.

The American style metropolitan areas around cities?

In terms of infrastructure of the area as a whole it makes sense. In terms of the individual towns keeping their own identity it doesn't.

That's what I see happening, how many come to study in Manchester (or Salford) every year? How many stay on after graduation? How many apartment buidlings are in and around Manchester now, people won't live in apartments forever - especially when they have kids. Manchester will grow and eventually absorb Bolton I reckon, like the 'metropolitan area' thing in the States...
