Like Horwich is regarded as part of Bolton now. As a somewhat related aside, I was pressganged into being a buswanker to The Trafford Centre just before Christmas last year, talk about going around the houses, it took about an hour and a half, I could've walked it quicker...Anyhow, I was struck by how much formerly shithole areas had changed, some even looked, daresay, thriving (although I realise Christmas might have been adding to this), perhaps the wealth from Manchester will eventually percolate into Bolton - like it seems to have done in these other areas, and that can't be a bad thing - as long as we still retain our independent identity as Boltonians.
