It’s Stockport Town not County

They’re in NWCL I think

Pretty much used to be Woodley Sports

like when Socrates (the brazil footballer, not the ancient greek guy) played for that team in yarkshire.

Our robbie savage is about two years older than Socrates were when he died... thats mental.

unfortunately, they are getting bummed.

They seem to have a decent game once a month then otherwise absolutely dreadful.

They're one of my three to come down unless some January signings come in. That front 3 are a big load of meh.

Was there a particular reason why the aim was to have Dukenfield found guilty of manslaughter rather than going for a corporate manslaughter charge against SWFC/South Yorks Police/the FA? Given the context of there being so many factors - the allocation of ends, previous crushing incidents, the lack of a proper safety certificate, the appointment of the commander etc - it seemed odd to try and pin it on to the acts of an individual and not necessarily taking in to account the mitigating factors.

Thought exactly that. A guy on talksport explained it all pretty well and I can see how diffiuclt it was for a jury to criminally convict just him.

All well and good an inquest deciding how someone died, but when you take that to a criminal court the bar is miles higher.

Forget the cover up, were his actions that day a criminal offence?

I’m saying they weren’t. Hugely negligent and made massive mistakes under duress but worthy of criminally convicted for killing folk. Nah.
