Yeah there’s been a few rumours around about his style of management.

He turned them round when he first arrived though didn’t he? They were a lost cause and then beat Liverpool just before lockdown.

It’s a really odd time to bin him, with just two games to go.

Wonder if there’s summat gone on behind the scenes.

Barnsley injury time winner v Forest, makes the last day interesting.

Wiggin currently on 46 points with the -12. Puts them 22nd, 3rd bottom in the relegation zone and 2 points from safety, by my reckoning they need to win v Fulham on Wednesday to stay up, providing the -12 still stands after their appeal.

They need to beat Fulham and hope one of Charlton (away at Leeds) and Luton (home to Blackburn) don't win

Wigan are getting a deduction. I’m not sure where anyone has this idea they’re not? It’s already been given in essence.

Just going off the fact that the tables dont show -12, I'm surprised really as you'd think the EFL would have copyright over the tables and would insist on it.  From Wigan's point of view, and I know we dont care about them, but its a bit unfair to publish the final league table with them in mid table and then 2 weeks later say "oh by the way, you're down".  There's not even an asterisk, if that was NW Counties or Scottish Div 3 I wouldnt even be aware there was anything abnormal.

Anyway come on Fulham.

the fact that the efl stated if they didn’t go down automatically they would apply the deduction at the end of the season which occurs Wednesday night when all Final round games are played gives me huge comfort. They can appeal all they want. The rules are clear. Insolvency event is a 12 point deduction.

but as you say come on Fulham. Let’s get these CUNT’s on the slippery slope to oblivion

Really?

Wigan have done really well since just before lockdown but Fulham are all but 2 ppg since Christmas

I think fulham win and relegate the bastards

If getting mauled by the tigers could join em that'd be great

Fulham seem weak away from home a top 6 side (not surprising with Ream at centre half).  They dont seem to win many away, Wigan have won 5 out of last 6 at home.  Just hoping it doesnt work out that way but if I had to put a tenner on its a home win.  First goal massive coz with a draw no use to anyone, whoever goes a goal down is virtually resigned to their fate and will lose motivation.

Cowley sacked by Huddersfield as well strange one with them being safe. they were in relegation zone when he arrived. Should have stayed where he was. lets hope they are not saying that about Evatt this time next year

He wont be thinking that when he gets his salary off Huddersfield for the next couple of years or whatever, no doubt at least double what he was on at Lincoln.  He'll be coining it in when he gets his next job (I'm never too sure how getting a new job effects your pay off though).

Congratulations to Marcus Alonso on reaching his 3rd FA Cup final, terrific cross for the 3rd goal.

There something wrong with the game when Man Utd are resting players in a semi final and putting money before trophies

something wrong with utd.

Howler from De Gea, he's becoming the Simon Farnworth of the Prem.

I never associated Farnworth with howlers, I just thought he wasnt quite good enough.  Made some great saves in that 83-84 season when the singing came from Lever End.  Many a time we sang "Simon, Simon Farnworth" when he made great saves, just not tall enough at times.  But God De Gea's been a bad 'un for ages now.
