Fingers crossed it's not as bad as it sounds.

Indeed

Im surprised his not had his leg off

So far as I know, all we know is one of ours, probs Politic was stretched off in pain after 80 minutes

It could be bad but its all guess work

Iles article, assuming he was there, says it was Politic and it happened whilst closing someone down. So sounds non-contact and he was in a lot of pain, never a good sign.

Needed oxygen. Hopefully a dislocation at worst. 🤞

And one person says its a broken leg

Another says crocked by a shit defender

It might be hes out for the season but it could equally be a few weeks

Lets just cross our fingers

As for iles, i doubt he would be there

From our media bloke

In the latter stages, Politic went down in some distress with a serious injury which saw him ultimately stretchered off the field after receiving treatment for a number of minutes. A real sour end to a largely positive afternoon for the third fixture of pre-season.

When he does come back I just hope for Dennis himself he doesn't have the sparky type luck.

This is the issue, players like Mark Davies, Holden, Sean Davis and even Wheater over the years have had very poorly handled recoveries, I hope the medical team since then has been changed or improved drastically.

to be fair, that pretty much sums up our injury record over the past few seasons anyway

It is but why do the shitter players never seem to  get injured long term at Bolton.

That's always been a puzzle for me too.  The only one I can think of that got badly injured that wasn't a top level player for us was Tierney.  People saying its part and parcel of the game, I can only recall it happening to Jeff Chandler and  Simon Coleman in the 80s/90s, it seems to have become common in the last 10 or 15 years, I could be wrong.

Huge shame for Politic, hopefully it's not as bad as first feared. And it's better happening now than in the first game of the season, but if it's a 9 monther then I suppose it makes no real difference. Fingers crossed that isn't the case.

On the plus side, it gives us time to take stock and find a replacement if necessary. We're fortunate now that we actually have depth to cope too.

Hope that's our bad luck all used up now!
