Tough shit on Brentford

did all the hard work and blew it

bottlers

Stoke away and Brentford at home - they were shocking, so didn’t deserve it.

new ground only holds 17500, so it would have been another Bournemouth !!

Just seen droylsden have pulled out of the northern premier league due to Covid wiping them out

Place for Wigan; they will be over the moon as Bolton, Bury and District Football League has turned them down - insufficient fan support apparently

I could be way off the mark but I think Droylsden were far more reliant on their owner(s) rather than necessarily the social club. They managed to go from Conference National down to NPL Div One (three relegations) in the space of a few seasons because the funding was withdrawn. Was painted as some moral victory to even finish the season when in reality it was because the money they’d thrown at players in the past had caught up with them.

Dave Pace isn't it? Or something like that.

Owner, manager etc.

Think the Butchers Arms shut down years ago so no surprise.

Yeah that’s him. Can’t imagine he’d be too open to anybody else coming in just in case it was a success and he couldn’t take the credit.
