freds dad
The man who scored this was born I still haven't seen a better goal in all my 40 odd years watching Bolton.

Members bolty58
Sun in our eyes in the Burnden Paddock but we didn't miss that. Sensational. Who cares that they beat us 3-2. That goal alone should have been worth four.
frankietheman
And again. Could virtually make the ball talk with that left peg.

COYW
It seems incredible now that he dropped down a division to join us on loan. Ian Greaves managed him at Huddersfield and talked him into joining us, telling him it would only be a temporary stay in the Second Division. What were Leicester thinking letting him go? Mounts Kipper
What a player, no English player today can hold a candle to Frank, not even close, utterly mercurial wand of a left foot and no shrinking violet, what a fucking player. Happy Birthday Frankie. Edited November 23, 2014 by Mounts Kipper
Moderators Casino Posted November 23, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 23, 2014 What were Leicester thinking letting him go? same as us when we let him go, maybe he played more games for leicester than any of his other 76 clubs

Technically there can't of been many UK footballers who've been better. Edited November 24, 2014 by Mounts Kipper

COYW
Eight caps for England, all of them in friendlies. And we wonder why we didn't qualify for a World Cup in the 70's. Worthy's goal v Argentina at 3:

I once had the pleasure of attending the Grand National in his private box at Aintree with a Daily Express Sports Reporter mate of mine who lived on Red Lane. Bollinger Black Label in pint glasses! Kept that pace up all day too. Only collapsed after the last race. Prodigious. Before Traf asks - it was the year West Tip won. I only had 3 bets all day. Aonoch at 16-1 racing against an absolute hurdling champion called See You Then; West Tip in the National; Northern (something - I think it was Exposure) in the last given to us by some Irish lads in the same box - they'd come over to unload on it. One of my most profitable days ever on the punt and the one and only time I have attended a Grand National. Think we played a Sunday game that weekend? Lever Ender in L.A.
Your right P. I played footy with him and Alan Hudson in Sunny Benidorm in 1973 , brilliant fella got invited to his villa and stayed for 2 days, years later when he was with Rotherham I showed him some holiday photos and ended up on a night out with him and Terry Mc Dermott.....like I say brilliant bloke who died way too young..... We didn't have a game that weekend. it was the weekend after Easter and we'd played Wigan Away on Good friday and Blackpool at home on Easter Monday, just like it should be.
