One lad came to Southend for the August bank holiday game he was gobsmacked at how crazy it was We were in the ship pub on the sea front when the dj played happy hour by the housemartins. The whole place erupted the dj was getting drowned in beer and his decks were getting knocked all over the place. He said it was never like this following Blackburn! You are not wrong! Developed a theory that it must go back to medieval times and the natural bowl Bolton sits in acted as a sort of crucible for headcases. I could write a book on the hundreds of loons I have known following us. I know every town/city/club has its lunatic fringe but few, if any, could/can match us when the mood took/takes us.
