I only found out when dropping a card off today but he had a heart attack on 30th November but am glad to say he is on the mend and is back at home. Get well soon big man. Whites man Posted July 8, 2018 Author Share Posted July 8, 2018 Sad news, Big Phil died peacefully in his sleep last night. My dad’s best mate, a big bloke and a big character, will be much missed. Along with my dad he took me to my first Wanderers game and tried to teach me off spin. Always had a joke ready, when umpiring he used to tell incoming batsmen that “they are 49 for 8”.
