MalcolmW 338 Posted February 3, 2015 I'm not on about the lesser form of the two codes. #6nations Wales beat England for the first time in 1890 at Dewsbury. Why Dewsbury (Crown Flatt)? The scorer of the only point was a Cardiff man who moved north to play for Dewsbury. As an amateur, obviously. The England team had 5 players from Blackheath and 2 from Richmond, and also 2 players from Bradford and 1 each from Swinton and Wakefield Trinity. Please explain why this was. MalcolmW 338 Posted February 3, 2015 Still a one code game then Malcolm. Bradford became Bradford Park Avenue and switched to football in 1907. Then a section broke away and continued to play Northern Union (as RL was known until 1922). That's why they were called Bradford Northern even though they played in the south of the city. green genie 14 Posted February 4, 2015 rugby union is absolute horseshit Twenty years ago when it was all about tactical kicking for touch pretty true, but not the modern game. England U20's vs Italy U20's on Feb 13th at Albion's ground. Given England have won last two world cups for age group probably fairer to send their full sized

Big E 291 Posted February 4, 2015 I just wish they would make penalties worth 1 point. It annoys me having high scoring games and no tries
