Guest
if we get relegated, we're fcuked it aint happening this season. mind Can't see that it'll make that much difference
COYW
Maybe we might have to suffer relegation to bounce back? Our form is mid-table since Lennon arrived. What makes you think we're going to go backwards rather than forwards next season?
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted March 21, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted March 21, 2015 If we could start next season with Amos, McCarthy, Vela, Pratley, Clough, Le Fondre & 5 bog standard, hard nosed professionals we would give this league a good go next season. waffer cup 07
Very surprised by Lenny's comment on Heskey saying he had a good game. I thought he offered very little. I'd have taken him off at half time, put Davies on with ALF.
smeghead83
I've heard a couple mention getting Le Fondre in for next season, unless it's another loan deal I can't see us paying a fee to sign him. I reckon Cardiff would want a million+ for him and he must be on a half.decent wage.

Your probably right but as a Bolton fan it's seriously frustrating similar situation to jukewitz were fast heading to be a championship makeweight. CumbrianWhite
Le Fondre is an average championship striker, wouldn't want to see us paying a large chunk of our budget on him. If we're aiming for promotion, we need to spend a little wiser.

Moderators Casino Posted March 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) Nothing, it was a barb aimed at Cas & the other Freedman apologists why not stick to the here n now? he seems intent on fcuking about with wing backs he started heskey ahead of davies - fwiw, a midfielder should have played ahead of both of them he bought the pole from celtic who looks like a duffer some of the football at home has been great fun but hes not above being questioned how about this one in recent weeks, pratley has done a muscle within minutes of the restart janko has pulled out in the warm up similarly le fondre screams poor prep to me and thats down to the manager Edited March 21, 2015 by Casino
CumbrianWhite
From showings this season and his form at cardiff. While he is a decent finisher, i feel his overall game lets him down and we are weaker team with him in it.

Moderators Casino Posted March 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 21, 2015 one bright point today, the number of youngsters piling on the train home a result of the forward thinking pricing policy

I'd not say a poorer team, but he's a decent finisher without being outstanding at it and he works hard. However he is far, far from the player some seem to think. We won't go up with him up top by himself and I think we will need to play a lone striker at times to get out of this league probably. I don't think Le Fondre is what we need next season. We need someone Clough can play off. Edited March 21, 2015 by bwfcfan5

Our best chance next season. Probably our only chance is that Clough continues the sort of form from this and bags 20 or so goals.... Moderators Casino Posted March 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 21, 2015 this is hard work ill spell it out i dont think clough will work with 2 others up front so if we did get alf, i dont see how it works as he cant be one on his own unless thats what all this 352 is all about? tis all
Blondi
Would have taken a point before the game so job done in that regard, but Christ that was disappointing. And disappointingly familiar that we'd throw it away like that having somehow got in front when we'd created shit all going forward all game. Spot on Matt! wanderers63
Thought we were fortunate to get a point today played a lot better away and lost so probably a point gained Hopefully mavies might do more than 10games next season, can't wait for next season now, Neil Lennon is doing very similar things to when big Sam took over and also there was an eclipse that year as well I THINK

I'd pass on ALF, and suspect it's irrelevant as we won't have the cash to sign him. Build a team around young Clough and find a target man for him to play behind. Mounts Kipper
All this talk of we can't play a certain way if Clough in the team I don't understand do we have to restrict ourselves to one formation or style? Surely we need a couple of different styles if we're to mount any sort of challenge.
Moderators Casino Posted March 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 21, 2015 fair enough but re le fondre, im not sure we'd need to pay cardiff arent going to play him so theyll just want to lose most or all of his wages
