tomski
Zach Clough in orange/pink (coral?) boots? Fucking booooo. Great goal mind. And what sort of arse brings carrier bags to football? Yes I noticed this on black boot watch. Another one over to the dark side.

Juan.Kerr
For me, no match thread feels right without this post. It gives me a warm glow. Presumably, it gives Th'East Midlands Whites one too. I don't know any of them them, but I always look out for this post. Crap match by the way, just another three points.

jules_darby
Much needed win. Zero entertainment Happy with that Thought there were some wonderful blocks by our defenders; especially by Wheater and Ream I think we are still not quite right in midfield, but there's no obvious answer(s)
Take Hunt Off
A better side than Brighton would have punished us far too much space down our rightside, Feeney going off probably did is a favour even though McNaughton looked a bit rusty .Christ we miss Pratley ...still 3pts was all that mattered! Moderators Carlos Posted March 1, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2015 Oddly Brighton away they tore us apart down the wings. Surprises me that every team don't use that tactic.
Ani
If we play 3 upfront. LeFondre, Heskey, and Clough, we are always going to be light somewhere. Yesterday Brighton had a free man wide, normally down our right, every time. Vela Danns and Bannon at times were up against 5. Brighton were nearly toothless but as mentioned a better team would exploit that. For this season we need to beat the lesser teams get us safe and then NL to bring players in to balance the team. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 1, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted March 1, 2015 I felt McNaughton did well when he came on. With vela in midfield ahead of him we were more solid defensively, and Vela's extra energy was pivotal in us getting the win
kent_white
Interesting comments from Lennon about McNaughton: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31562313 He's a class act our Len. Seems very happy here as well. I thought McNaughton was giving his man on their left way too much space when he came on. He was almost in the position where you'd expect the right sided centre half to be when they were threatening to break and they could have exploited that with a little more quality. Gumbo
In really interesting news yesterday it was the first time I too had seen young clough wearing non black boots and mentioned so. This observation was one of the main highlights of the game.
