Administration?

3. Winding Up - this is where it gets interesting and we need ED on board.

We'd be relegated three steps in the pyramid so the Conference is calling, or even Conference North if we've been relegated at the end of this season

Sorry to paraphrase but that's come as a big shock to me, I had absolutely no fookin idea that could happen.

So you're comparing Farnborough Town to Bolton Wanderers. You should make a bid. With that sort of experience, you're a shoe-in as new owner.

Cock.

I'm comparing two football clubs in the same position as each other.  Two clubs that need to adhere to the same rules set by the football authorities and two clubs that need to pay their bills as they know what the outcome will be if they don't.

Grow up.

Having lived through this nightmare Thorpey is pretty bang on except option 3. If wound up and starting again it would be at level where a league is prepared to accept you. There is nothing to say the Conference would have to take AFC Bolton and it would more likely be level that Chester or Halifax restarted at.

FWIW, even if ED allowed you to go into a CVA if he funds the Administrator Vulture the chances of being wound up are almost non existant given you have assets.

The Football League could give the league place of the wound up BWFC company to the new BWFC as the Scottish League did to Rangers.

Surely as a founder member they owe us that?

Different situation in Scotland because of the lack of a proper pyramid - Rangers were put in to the lowest possible professional league. If memory serves me right, the theory is that a new club would start two divisions below the original club; pretty sure that's how it panned out with Chester and Halifax.

Im sure Chester started more than 2 divisions down from where they were.

Fair point; started in Evo Stik One North which is three divisions below the Conference. However, the Conference recognise the North/South as being an extension of the Conference National so that's where the two previous divisions come in to it. Their situation is complicated by the fact they didn't finish the previous season so there was a definitive gap between the two clubs. All hypothetical from our point of view anyway.

(For what it's worth, Chester's current crowds are way down on what they were when they re-formed)
