bwfcfan5
4. That his admiration of Corbyn becomes clearer every day. Even uses affection terms like 'Jezza' when referring to the communist shithouse whilst the politician with a backbone he faces off against each day is referred to solely by her surname. As red as they come. The difference between me and you is you're so dogged by party and personality politics you cannot think for yourself. You agreed with Corbyn's stance. Saying so doesn't mean you have to agree with everything he says. I would gladly have Corbyn removed for a centrist Labour leader if I had the choice. Same with May. A new centrist party if it ever happened would win my vote immediately. The nonsense back and forth in this country needs to end in my view. But given most of the views on this forum tend to be right wing I find myself mainly arguing the other way. However if there were loads of mung bean eating vegans on here posting drivel they'd be telling me I admired May. Just the way it is. This left wing right wing malarkey is bollocks and old-fashioned yet still gets banded about; primarily to create division, I fancy (or sell more papers). That said, I'd say I've moved from the left to somewhere in the middle of late. That my views get perceived as right wing by some is quite amusing. Tell you what, I find it increasingly hard because people aren't wholly left or wholly right. They tend to be a spectrum nowadays. I think that is the thing I'm in the centre somewhere but have some elements from the left and right and it makes it hard to really place. No party has represented me for a long while. Probably Blair's Labour were closest to some extent until that went haywire. Socially the 2010 Tories were bang on for me, but economically not. Now it is hard work because Corbyn is away with the fairies on many ideas but economically closest to where I'd want to be without being ideal. Socially I probably find myself between the two. For example, Labour pledge to reduce numbers in prisons but equally want more prison space and more guards. That is bonkers. Their assertion that prison should be the "absolutely last resort" is crazy. I also don't agree with the need (or benefit) Labour see in 500 extra border guards. It will make no difference. I hear that. It's mainly my social views that have changed. Things like being tougher on crime, immigration and such. That is balanced though with a belief that we should aim to give all the same crack of the whip regardless of protected characteristics or the elephant in that particular room post code/class. I'd also encourage more folk to think critically and objectively, to the best of their abilities, and learn how to balance an argument and recognise opinions as shifting ideas rather than fixed personal qualities.. This, I believe, is where our media fails us presently; always painting the narrative, not reporting on it.

With this in mind, if The Don achieves denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula, he must be an odds on certainty?

From one who spouts nothing but NUT brainwash too. My cup runneth over. Forget Centrist politics matey. Worth fuck all because nothing ever gets done. We have to lean to the right (IMO) in a moderate way which gives us Conservatism. I have seen nothing in my life which convinces me there is a better option. Greens are communists masquerading as environmentalists. Queuing for bread would be almost bourgeois if they had their way. Eating raw grains by candle light in your mud hut in their brave new world. Labour - socialism doesn't work. Never has, never will. As soon as you remove aspiration from the population you get lethargy, massively reduced productivity resulting in strike ridden paralysis. I have never agreed with Corbyns stance. I have my own thoughts on leaving a few despots in place around the middle east and north Africa to keep the natives down. I doubt that "Ooooh Jeremy Corbyn" would be within a million miles of my thoughts on the subject and nor would I want him to be. You may as well accept the duopoly - it isn't changing any time soon. Where’s that ticking time bomb emoji ... Not sure we can say he has done anything yet Si but if he gets NK to dismantle their nuclear capabilities then i accept he will have achieved something quite remarkable. I just think his agressive approach to everything is not proportionate or helpful where the usual rules on diplomacy has achieved so much more in the past. madthatter
Don't know if this has been mentioned but a very interesting, informed and balanced view on Syria and chemical weapons from about a year ago. Seems he was right on the money as well. Possibly paints the recent attacks in a clearer light. I love the " . . . gonzo
Trump is acting as if he's achieving peace on the Korean Peninsula. It turns out that North Korea has in fact halted their nuclear tests & will close their main test site. Not because of Trump, but because the whole mountain nuclear test site has collapsed. Very Honourable. (Lifted off twatter)
