Full Moon

I'd love to see actual figures for hospital admissions on a full moon. Definitely felt like it made a difference. More stupid injuries and piss heads. Unless it's raining then no one comes in. Which is a bit depressing in a way.

It's well know round these part that on a full moon it's going to be a fun night for the emergency services.

It even got mentioned on that 999 thing the other year. Place goes fucking nuts.

I watch The Wicker Man whenever it's on the telly and I find the notion of wanting to shag Britt Ekland (ooh sex!) far from ridiculous...

(and unridiculous, the notion that 'The Equalizer' must have been a raging gayer).

That bit where she's banging the wall with her back turned, it's not her, it's an arse double btw, I knew that without Googling it, too.

I've just got back from a walk round Farnworth and can confirm that the Bridgewater, Royal, Britannia, Freemasons and Shakespeare are embracing the full moony experience.

At first I put it down to a combination of football on TV, football off TV and a general lunar inspired malaise, but on reflection they just might have all been pissed.

Doesn't answer Jules question but there you are.

Anyone else feel shit and weird when there's a full moon or is it just me?

It's the days just before for me, usually have a restlessness/tetchiness that seems to ease of once its full.  Cheese, do a moon diary and report back on your objective observations . . .

Lots of cultures now, and in the past, celebrate full moons and seek to utilise the waxing energies for certain purposes.  The Buddha was enlightened on a full moon, apparently . . .

Lots of cultures, now and in the past, believe all sorts of mystical bullshit that's been proven to be false.

Aye, so come on, get that diary on, and shed some knowledge of the enlightened era on this one!  As Corporal Hicks said, "It's the only way to be sure!"

I've heard drinking your own piss is good for you. Will you start doing it and let us all know how you get on?

I've never felt better :)  It has particularly calming effects just before a full moon

So what's your theory as to how human behaviour is affected by how much of the Earth's shadow covers the moon? Magic?
