blondedude123 Posted April 25, 2016 Share Posted April 25, 2016 living in portugal at the moment semi retired 57 used to live in blackrod caught the 313 to bolton or selnec back to horwich and walk home age 15 ex rivi gram school went into some fantastic pubs me and the girl friend on newport st opp the surgical appliance shop what was its name :lol: then went to bolton tec bricklaying fantastic pubs and clubs bees knees pips the odeon cinema wood st club :lol: bolton supper bar bus inn, griffin,,there was only 2 indian food places at the time amazing , 3 cinemas when you got 2 films :lol: great days ,after that boozed all over bolton as i got older and married and divorced :lol: spa rd gypsies tent then night clubs what was the posh wine bar called in a cellar pubs in edgerton last drop flag etc Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yeah sadly, lots of pubs n clubs gone, but a great REAL ALE pub opened in Horwich...THE ALE HOUSE, only 2 miles from the MACRON. The TAP in Astley Bridge also a good boozer, with many Wanderers fans in there!! You can catch the bus to and from the MACRON from near the Tap also. There is also a new 'pub/bar' opened in the new VAULTS in Bolton Town Centre...very nice but 6 miles from the MACRON. Beer at the MACRON average, but wet and does the job!
