See, now I mock Americans for their spelling as much as the next Brit, but at least the American noun (license) goes better with the adjective (licensed) than the British noun. Also, the advice/advised is a bad example because those two letters (c and s) sound different whereas the licence example (c and s) sound the same. Anyways, Baz is a top lad.
