gonzo
The first thing they should do regionalise league 2 and the conference.
Site Supporter White on Tyne Posted May 19, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted May 19, 2016 It would also bring Tranmere back into the league and for that reason I am oot.

BOWTUN BAKED
The first thing they should do regionalise league 2 and the conference. Spot on More Derbies, bigger crowds, higher revenues, less travel expenses, win win for the clubs concerned
Moderators Zico Posted May 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 19, 2016 I'd take a 20 team per league season if it meant 6 less mid week fixtures a season

Site Supporter victor meldrew Posted May 19, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted May 19, 2016 I bet season tickets wouldn't be any cheaper, Booooooooooo! but people still miss games, especially midweek ones. great idea, means we won't be non league in 2 years. smeghead83
From Boltons own POV though where money is all consuming, wouldn't reducing our home games in a season from 23 to 19 be a bad move? As it currently stands anyway.
Underpants
Just fuck off the Johnston Freight Sherpa Trophy. I wouldn't particular want less league matches. Edited May 19, 2016 by Underpants
ianovit
Better for fans for example my missus doesnt attend Tuesday night games but shite for the clubs including Wanderers who generally need every penny to survive.
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted May 20, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted May 20, 2016 I'm suspicious of it all - I reckon it will mean more of a closed shop for the premier league big boys. There will end up only being 1 promotion/relegation for a couple of seasons. Not that it will affect us
ianovit
Report on Sky Sports News suggested there would be no impact on promotion/relegation to Premiership and as there are already 20 teams there is no need to meddle. However I agree the self interest displayed by the "big clubs" is loathesome but if we were in that position I would be similiarly smug. It makes anything outside this utterly pointless
Adlington Trotter
Agree with points above about the revenue from the extra games beung lost. Would not be good for us and probably loads of league 2 sides. They can fuck off if they plan on making up the extra eight with Rangers and Celtic as well. Leyther_Matt
Rangers and Celtic won't happen. However Premier League B teams is a potential one and would be a big worry.

birch-chorley
I don't mind the idea of 8 additional clubs being brought into the set up Most in the conference are fully professional anyway now so wouldn't be out of place I'd also make it 4 up and 4 down from each league to make it interesting - not just league 1 & 2 I have no issue with anyone trying to market the championship better at home and abroad, if it brings in extra revenue then so be it - call it the premier league 2 or the hand job league 1 for all I care if it makes more money Main thing is the promotions & relegations stay at least three / ideally 4 I also think less games are better, some night games are great but they are few and far between - Satursay 3pm reigns supreme for me. drop it down to 20 per league and have some sort of winter break in January after the FA Cup 3rd round Edited May 21, 2016 by birch-chorley
waffer cup 07
Not the only club sinking. Although after a poor season Blackburn managed to stop up, due to their poor crowds they are shutting the top tier of the Blackburn End for next season. Fuck me I wish we could get him I'd heard talks didn't go well I'd be suprised if NW would take the job and even more suprised if he lasted a season working under the Venkys.
