Me and Crawley used to be in a band when we were about 18. In Bolton we played at the Crown and Cushion loads of times, Hawthorns, Oscars, the Academy, the Bowling Green on Escrick Street and Barco on Halliwell Rd. None of them are open anymore. The moral of this story is - don't book me and Crawley if you're a publican! :-)

In fact come to think of it - you can add the Hacienda and the Roadhouse to that list! We were like the grim reapers of live music.

My better half and i used to go regularly to the Blundell Arms in Horwich for a drink over 30 years ago but not sure if it still there or not. It used to be a great pub with lots of nooks and crannies but probably turned into a Harvester now

it's part of a chain but the food is a bit better than harvester.
