How about the extremists on both sides are twats

The vast majority in the middle are decent folk who just wanted to live in peace

Is the right answer.

My Mum is a Proddy from Belfast and my Dad is Catholic who served over there in the British army.

Some of the stories they tell about life over there in the early 70s are eye openers. When you think what life was like for us over here when we were their age.

My Grandad knew Paisley quite well, so when he heard a rumour she was seeing a Catholic boy (before meeting my Dad who he never found out that he was Catholic) he had him come round to give her a good bollocking at home.

Aye, apparently he bellowed into her face "No good will come of it, do you want your children to be Papish!"

I don't think I'd ever seen or heard the word "Papish" before hearing that story, or indeed afterwards

Episode 2 of The Troubles. Pretty much summed up by casino’s comment. Interesting how the IRA in the North took control away from those in the South. Those fighting for a united Ireland taken over by those with a “fuck the British” attitude is the way that I’m reading it. McGuiness and Adams not coming out well so far (unsurprisingly) but British government appears to have been weak

Watched I-Land on Netflix, 7 episodes of absolute shit - avoid at all costs.

Series 3 of Top Boy was belting though.

Just started Top Boy. Finished the first series, bloody great, can’t believe I missed it when it was on TV

Seconded.

Also been watching Undone on Amazon Prime, great once you get used to the animation style.

Was a latecomer to Peaky Blinders, binged it all in the last few months. It's got progressively shitter.

First series was belting and then youre right its started believing its own publicity and more far fetched every  series. Who can they take on next i mean the mafia, IRA,Secret Service, Russians, East End gangs, now Glasgow mob all no match for the brummies.

That’s disappointing I was going to start that next

Don't let me put you off, many many people still love it (careful mentioning it on Twitter like I have though as I've woken up to find 50+ notifications today tagging me into heated debates between neo-fascists)

I just feel like it's become a prime example of style over substance, slow motion gratuitous violence, self-obsessed and really, this season especially, not a right lot has actually happened.

I hope the proposed series the same creator is doing about the early years of the SAS doesn't go the same way.

I’ll still probably watch it, nothing worse than binging a show and it gets worse though.
