Transfer Gossip

Am I imagining it or did we not play most of the first half of last season with Vela, Clough and Ameobi up top and we played some great football. It was doom and gloom when Clough left, but PP changed our formation to accommodate Madine up top as a lone striker and it didn’t work quite as well but got us up. Can’t remember who it was but we smashed someone 4 0 at home (live on Sky) and played some cracking football. Not sure why people are getting so worked up about Madine going, for once we’ve come out of a deal on top and I’m sure PP will work his magic again...

We didn’t win a game last season without Madine so either you’ve missed Madine out of that bunch of players or it didn’t happen

6mill for Madine is crazy and can’t be turned down, I just hope Warnock gets fucked off in the end for wasting that much money

The massive loss for us was not getting Chungy, he would have lifted our overall quality to mid table level

If Parky can stumble across a formation that gets the best out of Clough, Vela, Ameobi, Walker and Flanagan we might just survive

My Mrs said the opposite this morning to dampen my gloating, suggesting he'll be a world beater now.

I really can't see it.  6 million . . . I'm still giggling now.

Is anybody else hopeful, and feel that it’s refreshing now Gaz has gone.

I was getting sick of literally only relying upon him.

Hopefully it will force us to play better

The club was a disaster yesterday according to you. What you had for breakfast?!

Surely just common sense employment law would make that illegal

maybe, but thems the rules (otherwise, clubs would just release players outside the window to get around it)

and surely, using your logic, the window would be illegal

i think football has special rules under EU law

They’re never recouping what they’ve supposedly paid, and he’s never going to be a Premier League centre forward for as long as there’s a hole in his arse. And yet they’ve doubled his money and given him a three and a half year deal.

It beggars belief.

Be very strange move by player and club to release just after window shut. Not in anyone’s interests is it ?

yeah seems very odd.

would big clubs releasing players not require money to be passed from club to club which would stop that??
