Andy Gee
Apparently (according to Nixon) Leicester want to sign Ronan Darcy.

I saw the word Magennis and my knickers went right up my arse. I agree regarding Dodoo, we could be a good fi for him. He's got something to prove and if he can add to what we've got I'm all in favour. Apologies to all. I couldn't even claim pissed up posting for my outburst. No worries; I'd be on the same page re Magennis. Cunt. Been wondering why it's taken so long to sign dodoo; has he been on trial, or is it looking like O'Grady is a bit rubber ducked. I think there's a fair chance he waited it out in search of a better contract before realising he wouldn't find one.

Be nice to keep him though and see him come through.
Moderators Casino Posted October 6, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2019 Ironic that hill reckons our youngsters prioritise the gym over ball work Imo, Darcy will need to do some serious bulking up to have a chance

Looks tidy but nothing I’ve seen that would excite me too much.

tomski
From what I’ve seen I think Darcy has the potential to be the best one. Potential being the key word but I’ve been impressed so far
frank_spencer
I liked watching Darcy when we were playing with a team full of kids just because he seemed to enjoy running around and giving the grown ups a kick to the ankle. Other than that I didn't think he stood out.
Andy Gee
Weird how its reported in the Sun, its like when my grandad tells me a story and goes off on a tangent then eventually gets back to what he is originally talking about. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10074136/leicester-left-back-chilwell-50m-exit/amp/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter&__twitter_impression=true

He gets his head up and is comfortable with the ball, reckon he'll stand out more with more experienced, better players.
Site Supporter MickyD Posted October 6, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted October 6, 2019 There have been plenty of 'slightly built' footballers but I reckon if you have little by way of upper body and core strength then you'd better have great ball skills to compensate. TrickyTrotter
I liked the look of Darcy and he had a bit of attitude about him. Yes he does need to bulk up but he’s only 18. I didn’t take what Hill said about our youth too seriously. I think he is trying to get a positive reaction. I do think he is right about 21+ yr olds who have never broken into the 1st team squad, but most of our promising youngsters would still be playing U18s if we had a full proper squad. This will be our lot for the foreseeable future any decent prospect will be linked with leaving. Clubs will have scouts watching and this will give rise to stories that the players are off. Hopefully FV have the finance sorted that we can hold out for the going rate rather than having to sell on the cheap.
