At the moment football is an arms race to try and get to the Premier league, this has totally skewed the lower leagues. Making a sustainable profit or even just breaking even isnt realistic anymore and the only way to get even close to that is to risk getting relegated. More and more clubs will have to look to go down this route though, especially now. Should hopefully start to balance out. Once expenditure (wages) becomes more realistic we might start getting somewhere. Too many clubs getting too close to the brink, surely it has to change gradually. They also said we'd need to live within our means when they came; and again, whilst it's nice if a silly bugger chucks millions, many on here acknowledged that doing just that, avoiding boom and bust was quite appealing. I agree that most of us are behind FV, but moon boy doesn't appear to be. He's always critical as if he has an axe to grind I think it's embedded in his head 😂

Staff are happier, club on an even footing as debts are sorted. Reputation being restored amongst the football community after Anderson's terribly near destruction of the club. In every conceivable way, they've been a breath of fresh air and they've given us a club to support. They even gave your 'mate' a job and he messed it up. But that's somehow their fault it seems. Don't know what you expect: they can't even spend money whether they have it or not.
BWFC_LOVE
Had Hill acted with decorum, this season could possibly have been forgiven. A clean sheet and all forgotten that we’ve won 2 in 20. A combination of poor form, saying things like “the fans aren’t on the same page” and alienating players, things are on the verge of turning sour. Dale fans are of the impression that he lost it long before he left them. He had to go.

FV are culpable in all this, when they came in they said they had a long term plan but in less than 12 months they’ve ditched it and gone for a ‘continental’ style set up because of the influence of Tobias and Kenyon. We’re in Division 4 with no manager and no players and no money some fans need to wake up and think where this might end Since BSA left we’ve never managed to get our first choice in anything players/management etc, we always have to have second best, I suspect the same will apply now. Don't think the long term plan has been ditched but like most plans (of any term) there needs to be a Plan B. Now that's what we never had. FV will see us reet. Im not sure theyve ditched anything They said at the time they appointed hill that they felt rushed into it, bearing in mind the battering the kids were taking and the transfer deadline

Hill and Flitcroft names were always only in pencil. They were never in it for seasons. They knew that. It was an emergency, and to find two Bolton lads at the time looked like a godsend for FV when it was number one (maybe two) priority to get the fans onside. Johnnyrotten
Could be nonsense but I read Charlton agreed a fee of £1.5mil for Maddison in January and he turned it down because of the wages on offer. He'll end up at Sunderland (he's from North East) or go back to Hull if they can afford his wages if/when they are relegated. Should have been a championship player for the last few years, he was playing for Gateshead while we were paying the likes of Trotter and Andrews about 10 times what he was on. Joe Mason could be worth a punt at Div 2 level.

Although quite where that came from (23 goals in 22 games!) is anyone’s guess as he only average a goal every five games for Bradford and even less than that for Preston. I can understand him going to Salford as they will continue to pay big wages but Swindon are now in league 1 so after such a good season why would he stay in league 2 (other than Salford if he's just interested in the money). If we can get him then fantastic just can't see it myself Edited June 24, 2020 by Norpig
