Maybe next time. Or he’s probably overrated by some and unwanted by Evatt.

The lad has probably been driven down by what’s happened in the last few years if it can go wrong at Bolton it probably will . Don’t worry Jonny we’re on the way back 😂 . Any way there is a chance we might be able to watch from the start of the season ground is big enough . Have season ticket holders only till October no away fans use all four sides for home fans

Emanuel would still be here if Evatt rated him, great age, athletic etc, but just not a very good footballer. If Hull think they're strengthening their defence especially after the 8 goal drubbing at the hands of the pie eaters, they're sadly mistaken. frank_spencer
Iirc Emanuel was one offered terms obviously reduced from last year so probably took the bigger pay cheque from hull
ErnestTurnip
People criticise Emanuel's defending bit was his delivery any good when he went forwards? Seems a long time since we've seen anyone play but I don't remember coming away thinking he was knocking quality ball after quality ball in from an attacking point of view. I cant see it so its not happening 😥 All those wonderful players released how dare they Friday/Saturday comes, I go to football, or at least live it through others that are doing it on my behalf. Now I can’t, last season I didn’t was 1975/6. I could pretend I’m buzzing to keep up the positive vibes, but i’m not, sorry snowball. Johnnyrotten
Not one bit. I can’t remember the last time I criticised anything associated with BWFC, I love the owners, manager, players we kept on, players we’ve signed, fans and even the new kit. I can’t wait to watch them rip up this league. But I can’t go to watch unless something changes, so I’m not happy! I’m a routine man and it’s gone for now, can’t wait for it to return. Ha ha, my main memory of Baptiste was a home game ( maybe Wiggin ) where everyone could see what was coming from several seconds before & were shouting "Noooooo" but he still lunged in & gave away the penalty. Overall though, he was alright & if he's fit, he could be a useful experienced head with the young/inexperienced recruits. I've lost count of our centre halfs now, but Senior, Edwards & Brockbank will be way down the pecking order now & will probably need to go out on loan.( i hear Thomasson has already gone but don't know if it's been confirmed )

Turnbull was one of the highest earners at Northampton (4K a week apparently) so he was probably asking for quite a lot in terms of LG2 wages, glad we stood firm. It ties in with something Evatt said in one of his early interviews about “not being a cash cow, we want players to come to Bolton Wanderers for the right reasons” https://youtu.be/b2veNlJP6sg
bolton va va
Re Emmanuel.......last 2 seasons, our new right backs have started off impressively, even the bloke from Bristol started off well before that, then the Pole, but they've all gone downhill fast. Very odd. If Jones ( or whoever ) starts at right back, i'm not making any judgement till well into the season !!!
Leyther_Matt
Emmanuel is the perfect wing back. Too poor defensively to be a full back and not good enough going forward to be a winger. No great loss at all. In Evatt we trust.
