I might be missing something but could that have been the deciding factor? Turn up to training, and show what you can do. Ok, he may have been messed around, but had he turned up and not been offered one, then he's more of a case. I’d imagine we’d have been reading things like, in IE we trust, he’s no better than we already have, he always had a fuck up or 2 in him, serves him right putting trust in his greedy agent etc etc. Despite the defending being the most alarming disappointment of the season so far, I’m still not venturing away from trusting IE to know best. He’s the one seeing these players everyday, I’m not going to pretend I know better than him despite me currently also having doubts about some of these defenders.
