Think that's when we'll be able to throw our weight around a bit more.

Till then we're bottom feeding.

Not so sure, we are totally skint and without investment, we won’t be throwing any weight about at all. In fact, we will have a bottom half budget!

I'm not so sure. Look at our wage structure and the money we paid for Evatt.

Either way you've got to imagine we'll be able to attract a better calibre of player if we can pay a fee. Any fee.

compared to where we were and where we want to be we are skint as fuck.

compared to league 2 we should be able to outspend most

Again do we know owt? I appreciate we don’t have as much money as we did in the prem but I think everyone understands that.

Heard a rumour we are getting Oxfords keeper in the Jan window. Northern lad who can’t settle down there - apparently. Don’t know anything about him. Don’t shoot the messenger, like i said - it’s just a rumour.

Just had a gander at their squad

Both goalkeepers are from darn sarf

"Simon Eastwood joined Oxford for the second time in June 2016, from Blackburn Rovers. Having started his career with Huddersfield, Simon joined the U’s from the Terriers in June 2010 but was unable to break into the first team. At the end of the season he was released and signed for Halifax Town. After one season Michael Appleton signed him for Portsmouth, and in May 2013 Appleton, who was now Manager of Blackburn, signed him again"

Except he's their first choice & aged 26. He's not coming here for nowt.

The other's 31 & no links up here.

They do have a 16yr old though. We have form for very young ones.

Aye. I keep seeing these statements but no idea if they have any merit. I’m happy to never know again ha.

Eastwoods 31, out of contract at the end of this season. No club has ever paid a fee for him. Probably just a bollocks rumour though.

I get that

but even still they’ve brought 16 new players in (FGR), this division is going to be loans & freebies and where managers are savvy and use contacts

Perhaps I’m looking at my club with rose-tinted specs but I honestly can’t see any player (provided geographic location doesn’t come in to play and they don’t mind relocating to ‘oop north’) turning down a spot in Bolton’s team, with the club’s infrastructure and history to go and play for any other team in the fourth division.

Unless he’s a Green Party vegan.

Or has a poster of the ‘Cunts of 92’ on his wall.
