Dr. Feelgood
I'm not claiming he's Alan Clarke or Jermaine Defoe, but he's just scored 32 in a season, he's both young AND mature. Out of contract & wants to return to the North West. He has to be worth a chat. Obviously is a Chamionship club turned up they may have a jump on us, but otherwise we'd have a chance. If he fancies returning to the North West, he might be worth a punt.
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted May 9, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted May 9, 2021 I thought that little winger of Crawleys yesterday looked a good player. As for Mullen, if a deal could be done it would certainly be a statement of intent.

ZiggyStardust
Young lad who scored against us for Grimsby caught my eye. Looked a handful. On loan from Fleetwood, 20 year old. Out of contract, but the club has an option for an extra year. no idea if they are taking it up or not.

Site Supporter Steejay Posted May 9, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted May 9, 2021 We need to be thinking about players released by championship clubs, not 4th division clubs. Re: Kieran Lee, Declan John...

Can’t wait for our friendly at Longridge.
TrickyTrotter
There's a role for Gilks, Baptiste and Doyle next year, but these 3 positions we should be looking upwards for. Plenty of clubs above us will still be having cash flow problems and be shedding quality Div 1 level players. Happy to pick up good young guns from League 2 and below though. paulhanley
In terms of the profiles of players we want (as opposed to the positions that need strengthening) I think we need a mixture. We certainly need to avoid the moneyball signing of unprovens like last Summer (Comley, Greenidge, Taft, Gordon). Some good loans from the top two divisions, some proven talent from the upper echelons of League 1 and maybe cream off a couple of the best players from League 2 in 20/21 (if available). I hope we can spend fees and make a couple of investments too. Exciting stuff. Not been able to have these types of conversations for quite some time! Gilks would be a good keeper on the bench............Employed as a coach so a duel purpose role saves a wage Baptiste again a decent sub and one who deserves another year Doyle needs competition but will get goals in lge 1 Evatts signings are a class above Phoenix NIGHT mares

Mantra
Declan John has taken "Swansea City" out of his twitter bio - now just says Bolton Wanderers. Could be reading too much into it as he's out of contract there but could be a hint that he's staying. Wouldn't be any big surprise if he does sign back.
