white noise
Been patient with Parky so far but if Plan A fails most of the time, why does he persist, when even the most uneducated football fan can see that it doesn’t work. Tactically, inept. Against WBA he persisted with no sub at 0-2, until 70 mins. Set pieces are a joke, so many 6’ + players and yet we rarely threaten. What are we doing on the training ground? Beginning to think that Parky is a massive factor in our terrible results.
Moderators Casino Posted January 25, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2019 Just a thought, seeing as you mentioned set pieces It's hardly on him that the taker, with a dead ball, and ten yards, can't hit a white shirt a few times in a hundred
dazl1212
I think Oz would have made a bigger impact if he was playing off Madine.

Our inability to cross a ball (dead or otherwise) is killing us.

Moderators Casino Posted January 26, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2019 Seriously, you think training/coaching affects a 20 odd year old pros ability to reach with a corner? Nah, I'm not having it

Surely that is one of the few things that can be improved by training and practicing during the week until it improves. Big Sam has forged a successful managerial career on the basis of firstly getting divers in to get the free kick (Diouf) and then getting a good delivery and goals of set pieces! One time, everyone was shit scared of our set piece plays.....they knew what was coming, but could do fuck all about it!.......So yes, free kicks are all about how they are managed, both on and off the pitch. They were then replaced with another sparingly used (until the deal went to shit) goal poacher and an even smaller playmaker who's been bombed out. Seems bizarre. Taking it at face value (that he identifies and signs the players), it seems deep down Parky does have the desire to play better football, he just loses faith in it incredibly quickly. Mounts Kipper
Are we out of this transfer embargo? Seems very very quiet on the transfer front. Edited January 27, 2019 by Mounts Kipper
white noise
Can’t see a couple of last minute signings that nobody else wants, making any difference. With Parkinson in charge we are going down.
