Trust Johnny to come and put a dampener on it!

I cant see it so its not happening 😥

All those wonderful players released  how dare they

Friday/Saturday comes, I go to football, or at least live it through others that are doing it on my behalf. Now I can’t, last season I didn’t was 1975/6. I could pretend I’m buzzing to keep up the positive vibes, but i’m not, sorry snowball.

It would be the first time if he was.

I’m getting the impression I’m not on the short list to be godfather to your kids.

And I thought we were all friends on here.

Apologies mate, just that you seem to be on a BWFC downer.

Not one bit. I can’t remember the last time I criticised anything associated with BWFC, I love the owners, manager, players we kept on, players we’ve signed, fans and even the new kit. I can’t wait to watch them rip up this league. But I can’t go to watch unless something changes, so I’m not happy! I’m a routine man and it’s gone for now, can’t wait for it to return.

Baptiste brought back into the club by Phoenix.
His reading of the game was almost psychic

Last seen sat on dougies naughty step after having a shocker for us. Fresh start onwards and upwards.

Crellin best get plenty practice at saving pens in .

Ha ha, my main memory of Baptiste was a home game ( maybe Wiggin ) where everyone could see what was coming from several seconds before & were shouting  "Noooooo" but he still lunged in & gave away the penalty. Overall though, he was alright & if he's fit, he could be a useful experienced head with the young/inexperienced recruits.

I've lost count of our centre halfs now, but Senior, Edwards & Brockbank will be way down the pecking order now & will probably need to go out on loan.( i hear Thomasson has already gone but don't know if it's been confirmed )

We did make turnbull an offer

That’s good to hear imo, means we’re sticking to a sensible wage structure and not being taken for fools. Turnbull was one of the highest earners at Northampton (4K a week apparently) so he was probably asking for quite a lot in terms of LG2 wages, glad we stood firm.

It ties in with something Evatt said in one of his early interviews about “not being a cash cow, we want players to come to Bolton Wanderers for the right reasons”

Re Emmanuel.......last 2 seasons, our new right backs have started off impressively, even the bloke from Bristol started off well before that,  then the Pole, but they've all gone downhill fast. Very odd.

If Jones ( or whoever ) starts at right back, i'm not making any judgement till well into the season !!!

I imagine when we got relegated the young players thought “this is my chance”. Little did they know we would have a stronger squad in div 2 than we had in div 1. Unfortunately they are effectively no longer Bolton players, and I’ve got sympathy because they’ve had zero chance to prove themselves.

Thought you said the other day that the players we had signed werent up to the standard of the ones released? Now we have a stronger squad?

Sorry but you do come out with some absolute shite

Emmanuel was a regular in one of L1's worst defences last season and for all his attacking intent, scored no goals and got no assists.

I’m embarrassed for him if he chose Salford over us. Regardless of what they offered.

RE Emmanuel the less we have from the old regime the better for me now. Fresh start. Wish him well

I didn’t think we were in for him so that’s pretty grim if we didn’t win over salford

I had no idea who Turnbull was a month ago. Same with most the players we have signed.

I want players here for the journey, not the money so anyone like Turnbull can feck off and c’est la vie.

i really do feel like we could have an exciting few years. Salford - might well win promotion and pay well but will always be a shitty little club. A bit like when SJM went to Bury From Shrewsbury instead of us saying they were going places. Soon changed his tune
