Now I can’t, last season I didn’t was 1975/6. I could pretend I’m buzzing to keep up the positive vibes, but i’m not, sorry snowball.

Johnnyrotten 270
Not one bit. I can’t remember the last time I criticised anything associated with BWFC, I love the owners, manager, players we kept on, players we’ve signed, fans and even the new kit. I can’t wait to watch them rip up this league. But I can’t go to watch unless something changes, so I’m not happy! I’m a routine man and it’s gone for now, can’t wait for it to return. Ha ha, my main memory of Baptiste was a home game ( maybe Wiggin ) where everyone could see what was coming from several seconds before & were shouting "Noooooo" but he still lunged in & gave away the penalty. Overall though, he was alright & if he's fit, he could be a useful experienced head with the young/inexperienced recruits. I've lost count of our centre halfs now, but Senior, Edwards & Brockbank will be way down the pecking order now & will probably need to go out on loan.( i hear Thomasson has already gone but don't know if it's been confirmed )

Turnbull was one of the highest earners at Northampton (4K a week apparently) so he was probably asking for quite a lot in terms of LG2 wages, glad we stood firm. It ties in with something Evatt said in one of his early interviews about “not being a cash cow, we want players to come to Bolton Wanderers for the right reasons” https://youtu.be/b2veNlJP6sg
bolton va va 381
Re Emmanuel.......last 2 seasons, our new right backs have started off impressively, even the bloke from Bristol started off well before that, then the Pole, but they've all gone downhill fast. Very odd. If Jones ( or whoever ) starts at right back, i'm not making any judgement till well into the season !!!
Leyther_Matt 357
Emmanuel is the perfect wing back. Too poor defensively to be a full back and not good enough going forward to be a winger. No great loss at all. In Evatt we trust.
snowball 344
That keeper Jake Eastwood we were linked with. out for 3 months injured. unlucky for the lad

Little did they know we would have a stronger squad in div 2 than we had in div 1. Unfortunately they are effectively no longer Bolton players, and I’ve got sympathy because they’ve had zero chance to prove themselves.

Traf 2,626
Emmanuel was a regular in one of L1's worst defences last season and for all his attacking intent, scored no goals and got no assists.

Site Supporter Biggish Dave 540 Posted August 8, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted August 8, 2020 I had no idea who Turnbull was a month ago. Same with most the players we have signed. I want players here for the journey, not the money so anyone like Turnbull can feck off and c’est la vie. i really do feel like we could have an exciting few years. Salford - might well win promotion and pay well but will always be a shitty little club. A bit like when SJM went to Bury From Shrewsbury instead of us saying they were going places. Soon changed his tune
