Exiled Girl
Great idea. Great concept. But there is a problem. Housebuilders are too fucking thick to embrace change. Why the fuck it still takes 24 weeks to build a house in a field when in the same time you can get 30 storeys high in steel and concrete in the middle of a city centre I'll never understand. That's ignoring the couple of years planning the commercial build before any groundworks commence though... as you well know

Big City Girl
Manchester Council has a lot of prefab housing stock. Although you wouldn't know it now as they've all been externally insulated and look like 'proper' houses.
no balls
I'd rather live in my shed than some cardboard chavmagnet. There's some shit ones about, you're right. https://www.huf-haus.com/en.html
Members bolty58
My missus was brought up in a prefab in Rossall Road (Tun Fowt). Breeze block ends with curved corrugated steel roof which formed the front and back walls. Moving into a semi detached council house was "like moving into a palace". Used to do the grass on that estate. One absolute loon came out screaming that he'd collected a bucket full of grass that had somehow posted itself through his letterbox. One very Mod mate from that same street used to wear very sharp suits, shirts etc. and often paired them with mill clogs!
